- Peter Lemaire graduated from Jim Cole's
laboratory with a Ph.D. thesis entitled "Biochemical
and Biophysical Characterization of Human Protein Kinase R."
He is now working as a Research Investigator at Bristol-Myers
Squibb in Princeton, NJ where he is applying his skills in the
discovery of small molecule drugs and protein therapeutics.
- Bill Matusek graduated from Andrei Alexandrescu's
laboratory with a Ph.D. thesis entitled "NMR Studies
of Folding Hierarchies and the Role of Electrostatics in Protein
Folding." He is now pursuing post-doctoral research on NMR
of membrane proteins at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
- Congratulations to Emma Watson who was awarded
an undergraduate summer fellowship by the Parkinson's Disease
Foundation for work on NMR of alpha- synuclein with the Alexandrescu
lab.
- Christine Sallum graduated from Andrei Alexandrescu's
laboratory with a Ph.D. thesis entitled "NMR Studies of Structural Motifs Involved in Protein Folding and Ligand Binding." Christine is currently pursuing post-doctoral research in drug design at Northeastern University in Boston.
- Congratulations to Andrew Mehta who was awarded
an undergraduate summer fellowship by the Parkinson's Disease
Foundation for work on "Effects of Membrane Mimetics on the Structure of the Parkinson's Disease Protein alpha-Synuclein" with the Alexandrescu
lab.
